Pana-panahon

Mainit. Malagkit. Pinagpapawisang di mapiligilan. Di makahinga. Nakakauhaw. Nakakapagod. Unfortunately hindi sex encounter ang tinutukoy ko, kundi ang kakaibang panahon na meron tayo ngayon dito sa Pilipinas.

Hindi na kaya ng simpleng electric fan ang siesta sa hapon. Dati rati, pag ganitong buwan na, kung hindi bumabaha sa sobrang ulan, eh, tumatayo na ang balahibo ko sa braso sa lamig. Ngayon, pagkaligo ko palang, namimilog na ang pawis sa nguso kong bagong ahit. Hindi naman ako makapag-aircon dahil natutuyo na ang balat ko sa maghapong aircon sa opisina at aircon sa kwarto ko pagtulog. Kahit maganda ang naidudulot sa katawan ko ng walang humpay na pagpapawis sa maghapong walang trabaho, hindi ko naman yata kayang maligo ng 3 beses at baka magsimula na akong rayumahin sa mura kong edad na ito.

Ayokong magpunta sa mall, dahil bukod sa mauubos lang ang pera ko sa wala, ay sasakit pa ang ulo ko sa dami ng mga taong kung hindi magulong namimili ay magulong nagpapakalat-kalat lang sa paligid. Tsaka aircon din eh, so ganun din. Ayoko namang mag-out of town, kasi yung pakiramdam na pagod na pagod ka pag-uwi sabay balik ka na naman sa impyernong init sa Maynila ay hindi rin worth-it. Kaakibat nito ang walang patid na pag-ihi, at lalong pagkagutom, dahil kumbaga, busog nga ako, wala namang laman, tubig lang.

Kung dadaan ang mga BER months na tag-init ang panahon, mukhang nakakatakot ang magiging bagong taon natin. Baka pagsapit ng unang araw ng Enero, lahat tayo lumulusong sa baha, at sa Marso’t Abril, lahat tayo naka-jacket sa beach.
